Winner of the "Cinema for Peace" Award, this Palm Springs and Tribeca Film Festival winning story about sustainable farming explores how many of the problems in the world connect to the state of the world's soil. Independent farmers, implementing historic indigenous techniques, demonstrate how changing agricultural practices could potentially save the world. "One of the most powerful, illuminating and vital wake-up calls since Food, Inc.," writes NYC Movie Guru, while Film Threat call it, "That rare documentary that actually proposes solutions… practical solutions," and Film Inquiry writes, "'Common Ground' is a vital, necessary documentation that there is a better way – a smarter way." All are welcome to attend. For these showings, organic popcorn will be served at the concession stand, with real butter available.  These film showings are co-sponsored by the ISU Political Science Department, League of Women Voters, Portneuf Resource Council and the Pocatello Film Society.
