During the last month of summer before high school begins, an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can't teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love his mum. NPR writes, "It's such a tender, funny, and honest portrait of being that most awkward of ages: thirteen," while the Associated Press adds, "Dìdi’s greatest strength lies in the balance it strikes between moments of levity and gravity, often prompting waves of laughter seconds after evoking tears." Admission is $3 for the public, $2 for ISU staff/faculty and free for ISU students with Bengal ID.
